GSSEF Annual Cookie Sale Program Dates: January 22 – February 15, 2015

Welcome to the 2015 Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program’s family, girl and volunteer resources page. Through the hands-on Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls benefit from developing business and leadership skills, funding troop and service projects, traveling to Girl Scout destinations, and earning inspiring rewards! And girls discover just how amazing they truly are. Girls have an even more amazing opportunity with the addition of two brand new cookies to our 2015 all-star cookie line-up: Rah-Rah Raisin and gluten-free Toffee-tastic! and also the 40th birthday celebration of Samoas! This year girls can sell cookies online through the Digital Cookie Program. Girls can now reach beyond booths, neighbors and friends for new customers in addition to booth and door-to-door sales. Isn’t that amazing! There’s also a fun Bling Your Booth Contest. Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, a girl can find amazing ways to help others and make a true impact in her community and far beyond. She’ll show you how amazing she really is!

Digital Cookie Program

This year in addition to the already popular and successful door-to-door and booth sales, we are excited to announce girls will be able to sell Girl Scouts Cookies through the Digital Cookie Program. The Digital Cookie Program has been designed to provide an additional method of reaching potential customers and to complement a girl’s door-to-door and booth sales. Girls will learn 21st century entrepreneurship skills.

Cookies 2015 digital logoParents will receive a “Kick-Off” email that will include a link to the Digital Order Card on or about January 5, 2014. Parents will click on that link and set up their user name and password in the Digital Order Card.* Parents will need to make sure their email address is correct in our membership records. After setting up their own parent account:

    • If their daughter is 13 and over, parents will enter their daughter’s name and email address and the system will send the girl an automatic email to set up her account in the Digital Order Card. After she clicks on the link and sets up her own account, she can create and customize her own site. This site is not published until the parent approves it. If their daughter is 12 and under, parents will work with their daughter to set up their account and customize their site.
Parents and girls decide on potential customers to reach out to and send emails through this site.

Amazing Real Life Skills

There’s something amazing inside every box of Girl Scout Cookies – an amazing opportunity to help each girl learn real life skills – and discover just how amazing she is. The Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program is the largest girl-led business in the country that helps girls develop five key business and leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

Five Key Business and Leadership Skills are:

Goal Setting as she sets cookie sales goals and makes plans to reach them.

Decision-Making as she decides how her group will spend the cookie money.

Money Management as she takes orders and handles customers’ money.

People Skills as she learns to talk and listen to all kinds of people while selling.

Business Ethics as she is honest and responsible every step of the sale.

Girls are members of a group working towards a common goal.
